Unique Salateey Humanitarian Assistance Foundation (USHAF Nigeria) strengthens civic participation, social inclusion, and community resilience across Nigeria and Africa. We build practical civic infrastructure that empowers citizens—especially youth, women, and marginalized groups—to engage constructively in social, democratic, and climate-related challenges.
USHAF (RC-7549176) is a registered Nigerian non-profit, headquartered in Osogbo, Osun State. We build practical civic infrastructure — early warning systems, truth clarification channels, citizen reporting platforms, and youth–elder accountability structures — that help communities protect themselves from misinformation, violence, and civic breakdown.
Our roots are humanitarian: years of community outreach, health advocacy, and youth empowerment that have reached more than 5,000 lives. That trust at community level is what makes our civic work possible.
Our work is grounded in compassion, accountability, strict nonpartisanship, and strong community partnerships.
To embed early warning, truth clarification, and intergenerational accountability into everyday civic life using culturally grounded, neutral, and scalable systems.
A Nigeria where every community possesses the tools, trust, and agency to protect itself from misinformation, violence, and civic breakdown.
Our work sits under two mandates: Democratic Accountability & Election Integrity (empowering citizens to monitor elections, track governance, report public-interest concerns and demand accountability) and Civic Participation & Information Integrity (equipping citizens with the knowledge, information and platforms needed to participate meaningfully in democratic life).
Through OJÚTÓLÉ, citizens report election-day incidents which our trained teams verify and escalate — 125 reports processed during the Osun Governorship Election of August 2026.
Following the money — tracking public budgets, allocations and capital projects so communities can demand accountability with evidence.
A standing channel for reporting service failures, corruption and public grievances — documented, verified, and routed to the institution responsible.
Through the Olóbó Alert Network, we detect and verify rumours, harmful narratives and viral claims at community level — before they escalate.
Civic engagement & training is the engine behind all four areas — the Òmìnira radio series (100,000+ listeners), 500+ youth trained, journalism fellowships, peace circles and community training under Àjùmọ̀ṣe and Amòyẹ.
